Tradition 5
Christmas is Jesus’s Birthday!
We always bake Jesus a Happy Birthday Cake. We have tried our best to make it a symbolic of Jesus and his work on the cross, reminding us that the reason Jesus is a gift is because of the work He did for us on the cross.
For our Birthday Cake we always use white cake mix to represent how Jesus came and was sinless and pure, which is the only reason we can have full redemption. We use a chocolate filing in between the layers to represent our sin and what Jesus came to die for. on the chocolate and on the top we use frozen red berries which tend to bleed as they thaw just like Jesus did for us .
We usually pack up the cake and take it to Mom Mom’s house on Christmas Day, where we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. The children always look forward to this
Don’t forget about our Oasis Covenant Kid’s Happy Birthday Jesus Party at Carine’s House on Sunday after church, December 16th 1-3 PM
God Bless,

This is a great idea. I often make a cake for Jesus, too. I’ve never thought of making it symbolic like this, however. I will be making a carrot cake from scratch this year.
Blessings to you!
